If you have an interest in animals, plants and nature then this is the course for you. You will attend college for three days a week and will be working with the animals on the Animal Zone, farm animals and horses, as well as growing vegetables and plants. You will also have the opportunity to develop your life skills such as cooking, communication, working in groups, working independently and improving confidence. The course will be based around vocational assessments, many of which are practical. You need to be happy working outdoors, in all weathers, and happy to have a go at all types of activities and tasks within the landbased area. The course also includes maths and English which you will continue to study at your own level.
